“This Little Light of Mine” (Good Medicine!)

There’s a moment at the beginning of the Tina Turner biopic (“What’s Love Got to Do With It?”) that’s so endearing and so uplifting that we’ve used this short excerpt below from the movie ever since as good medicine to cheer us up whenever we feel like being cheered up:
Nevertheless, she persisted!
This wonderful little moment must have been on my mind the day several years ago when I was in Bookseller in downtown Grass Valley, chatting with one of the employees there. Suddenly she pointed to the front of my pants and said “What’s that?” Apparently the mini-flashlight attached to my keychain had accidentally turned on and you could see its bright light through the fabric of my pants.
Without hesitation I said, “This little light of mine? I’m gonna let it shine!”
