Two AI-Generated Clones of Peter Russell Converse With Each Other
Futurist Peter Russell included this comment in his newsletter today, regarding a short (6-minute) conversation between two clones of himself, one in the role of author of his latest book, and the other in the role of reader (see video below):
As you may recall from my previous newsletter, I’ve been fascinated by the possibilities in AI—as well as the potential dangers.
After using AI to help make my previous video, I wondered if it could also generate the dialog itself. So I gave an AI the text of my book, Forgiving Humanity, and asked it to write a script for a conversation between a curious reader and the author. I was blown away by what it came up with. It not only generated an inspiring interpretation of the book, with insights that astonished me, but also presented it as a believable conversation between two people.

Fascinated, I then took the script and had another AI synthesize my voice and speak the parts. A third AI created clones of my image. And a final AI used the audio to animate the clones and generate videos. Apart from the final compiling, it was all generated by AI.
