These are the words of Robery F. Kennedy Jr, about whom I’ve felt visceral contempt over the last few years because of his tragically wrong campaign against vaccines. And because of which I was intially disinterested in his announcement of his candidacy for 2024. But, as I’ve so often found lately (as I’ve become obsessed with Biden’s reckless “gambling with Armageddon“) truth makes strange bedfellows.

RFK Jr is speaking the truth about the Ukraine War, and about the warmongering coterie running our foreign policy. If nothing else, his candidacy will make a fascinating dialog in the upcoming campaign, before the Democratic Party heavyweights eliminate him from the contest, as they did Bernie Sanders.

In the meantime, his announcement speech, in which he properly reveres his uncle’s great “peace speech” of 1963, is well worth watching, and includes some fascinating inside recollections of his family dialog during the Cuban Missile Crisis, as well as this now well-known fact:

“The war in Ukraine could have been avoided even as late as … spring of 2022 when U.S officials sent Boris Johnson to Kiev to scuttle peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, a peace agreement they had already signed. And not only that. Russia had already begun removing its troops from the Kiev area … we now know this war was not inevitable.
