Shake It and Break It
Many of Tuba Skinny’s songs have a musical pivot point near the end. A common pattern is for the instruments in the band to taken turns with solo riffs for three or four minutes until a clear moment near the end, usually marked by a washboard riff.
As the roughly 20-second washboard riff in the example below completes, suddenly — in a kind of joyous blossoming (or musical orgasm!) — the entire band amps up the volume and plays all together in a sustained blast of joy.
The happiness is irresistible!
