Good Medicine in Time of Corona Virus

I heard an interview with Buddhist teacher Jack Kornfield on the Tim Ferris podcast last night. What a wonderful healing experience! Kornfield is a wise elder, and understands how to deal with fear and other difficult emotions in dark times. His talk is peppered with stories.

He tells of a Buddhist teacher leading his students on a walk in a field. He sees a huge boulder off in the distance, and asks his students,”Is that boulder heavy?” They all agree that it is, very heavy.

He replies, “Not if you don’t try to lift it.”
