Nevada County TV Field Training
We — two couples and an individual — took camera field training at Nevada County TV for four hours today, and it was extremely worthwhile. Each of us couples and the individual has a video project that we’ll be working on over the next few months. We learned the mechanics of camera use, with tripod and special handheld techniques. In a few weeks, we will all begin the video editing class, also taught by the same instructor, the excellent Carolyn Ivey-Cone.
Check out the fantastic resources available to the local community at NCTV, probably one of the best provisioned public television stations in the country. Some of their equipment may be hand-me-downs, but much of it was handed down from Thomson Grass Valley, one of the premier video technology companies in the world.
